Oakland, CA is plagued by vacant housing, evictions, foreclosures, and unemployment. Speculators steal land from the people displacing the poor and working class, swelling the ranks of landless people rendering them homeless. This is where Land Action comes in, by offering assistance to environmental and social justice organizers to establish and defend occupations used for housing and advocacy.
